As someone who has watched AI Sci-Fi movies, and has spent time researching AI. I can say with absolute certainly that people are bing mislead by big tech companies. What we have seen on screen does not apply to reality!

The one industry that LLMs has impacted the most is the software industry. I don't think anyone would dispute that statement. I can write more code and I am better informed when building solutions thanks to LLMs. I am more effective as a developer thanks to LLMs. With that said why is it more impactful in programming than another industry?

As a contractor I have undertaken a lot of interviews. I have been offended so many of times, you gradually develop a thick skin. If I have learned anything, when there is smoke there is fire. Bad behavior equals bad job 100% of the time. So when I see any of these red flags I walk.
